Drop down field should default required value during initialization

Hi Friends,

As I could not able to achieve default required value in drop down  field from drop down list during initialization, in HCM processes and forms by FPM forms. Please help me here. I could able to achieve list of values in dropdown list and can able to select them but I could not able to achieve dropdown field default value during initialization method.
