Leave Request Java WD text in Note for Approver field

Hello All,

We've upgraded recently from 7.01 to 7.40 and the text for Note for Approver is all capitalized. The textedit is bound to Prepare_Request.Prepare_Output.Prepare_Ex_Request.Curr_Note whose simplyetyple if Tim_Req_Notice. In the representation characterstics of this simplyetype Uppercase is selected.

So I understand when the text is all capitalized in that textedit.

But what I dont understand is this conversion to all caps does not happen in 7.01. For example text 'Sample Text' when set to this context attribute was displayed as 'Sample Text' in 7.01 but displayed as 'SAMPLE TEXT' in 7.40.

Is there a way to suppress this automocatic capitalisation?
