HR Renewal ESS Landing page in portal - 404 not found

Hi,

I have done the all the steps as given in the admin guide for HR Renewal 2.0.

The user has the ESS composite role assigned in both back end and in the portal. I am able to see the landing page when opened as link

http://ecchost:port/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_suite_pb/main.html?page=HREMPLOYEE

when opened from transaction PFCG, the following screen appears with the error

when the iviews are opened in the portal, the URL has the portal host and port in it instead of the host/port of the back end system and henc epage not found error comes up..screenshot below and the trace from developer tools below

Can you please let me know how this can be fixed? I have searched entire SCN without a solution..
